El deporte est\u00e1 lleno de referentes y h\u00e9roes para ni\u00f1os y mayores. Historias incre\u00edbles de superaci\u00f3n, haza\u00f1as \u00e9picas, gestas sobrehumanas. El salto imposible de Bob Beamon, Jesse Owens (el negro que moj\u00f3 la oreja a la raza aria nazi), el ultracondecorado Michael Phelps (con 28 medallas ol\u00edmpicas acu\u00e1ticas), el Dream Team (el equipo imposible que nos hizo babear en los JJOO de Barcelona), Messi (ese jugador capaz de ejecutar lo imposible a una velocidad endiablada\u2026 Podr\u00eda empezar y no acabar nunca\u2026 Pero me hago una pregunta: \u00bfHace falta ir tan lejos para idolatrar gente que realmente no conocemos?<\/p>\n

Hay otros h\u00e9roes an\u00f3nimos del deporte, que nunca ser\u00e1n portada, pero que tienen toda mi admiraci\u00f3n. Y los tenemos mucho m\u00e1s cerca. Jordi Cortinas es uno de ellos. Hace siete a\u00f1os, nuestros caminos se juntaron en el club de triatl\u00f3n \u201cMi Primer Triatl\u00f3n\u201d.<\/p>\n

Ma\u00f1ana estar\u00e1 en Motril en la l\u00ednea de salida del Ultra-Tri Spain<\/strong><\/a>. Solo apto para unos pocos, mejor dicho, poqu\u00edsimos. 60 valientes que se enfrentan a tres jornadas de infarto solo verlas sobre el papel: 10 km de nataci\u00f3n en el mar combinado con 145 km de bici, 276 en bici y 84 kil\u00f3metros a pie como guinda para la tercera jornada\u2026 Solo de verlo escrito se me hace una monta\u00f1a kilom\u00e9trica y empinad\u00edsima a la vez. S\u00e9 que sufrir\u00e1 mucho, que tendr\u00e1 momentos de baj\u00f3n y profunda oscuridad; pero tambi\u00e9n estoy completamente convencido que acabar\u00e1: porque es un m\u00e1quina, un cachondo y tiene un gran coraz\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Es un m\u00e1quina. Recuerdo en los d\u00edas previos a su participaci\u00f3n en el Ironman de Niza (algunos lo han catalogado como \u201cel infierno de la Costa Azul\u201d) que quedamos para tomar un caf\u00e9. Estaba muy preocupado porque ten\u00eda muchas molestias y no pod\u00eda pr\u00e1cticamente salir a entrenar la carrera a pie. No ten\u00eda la certeza de si podr\u00eda tan siquiera cumplir los primeros kil\u00f3metros de la secci\u00f3n de marat\u00f3n. Le di muchos \u00e1nimos; es lo \u00fanico que pod\u00eda hacer\u2026 Me alegr\u00e9 un mont\u00f3n cuando recib\u00ed su whatsapp d\u00edas despu\u00e9s con la foto de finisher, sonrisa de oreja a oreja, y tiempazo de 10 horas 55 minutos. Si llega a estar al 100% igual revienta el crono y todo\u2026<\/p>\n

Tiene un gran coraz\u00f3n. A la fuerza eres buena persona si eres capaz de acompa\u00f1ar a un persona los \u00faltimos 12 kil\u00f3metros de una marat\u00f3n en modo zombie<\/strong><\/a>, tras quedarte tieso. Casi no me dirigi\u00f3 la palabra en la hora y 50 minutos que dur\u00f3 aquel suplicio, pero estuvo ah\u00ed, acompa\u00f1\u00e1ndome y d\u00e1ndome apoyo con su sola presencia.<\/p>\n

Es un cachondo. Un personaje que es capaz de reservar mesa en un restaurante a nombre de Samuel Eto\u2019o o Jorge Cadaval tiene todo mi respeto. As\u00ed que ya sabes Jordi; con tu medalla de finisher colgada al cuello voy a escuchar de tu boca, en directo como pides la mesa a nombre de Dikembe Mutombo\u2026<\/p>\n

Mucha suerte para ma\u00f1ana amigo. Eres an\u00f3nimo para el gran p\u00fablico, pero eres nuestro \u00eddolo\u2026<\/p>\n
